Application: Color removal for industrial effluents

 

DC-491 is a quaternary ammonium cationic polymer. It has excellent efficiency in de-coloring, flocculating and COD removal.

Properties

The product is mainly used to remove the color of effluents with high chromaticity from the dyestuff plant. It is adequately effective in treating waste water with activated, acidic and dispersing dyes.

The product is also used in the treatment of effluent from textile, printing &dyeing industry and printing ink.

The rate of de-coloring for the above-mentioned waste water is more than 95% in wastewater treatment, and the rate of COD removal is between 40% and 70%.

Application Method & Notes

  • The product shall be diluted with 10~40 times water, then added to the wastewater directly. After stirring for several minutes, the clear water will be got by precipitation or air-floatation.
  • The pH value of the wastewater accepted is 7-10 for optimal result.
  • It is recommended to use this product in combination with the inorganic coagulants (polyaluminum chloride for instance) to treat the effluent with high color and COD to reduce the operation cost. The order and proportion of agent dosage depends on the flocculation test and the effluent treatment process.
  • The product is nonflammable and non-explosive. The suitable storage temperature is 5~30°C. Don’t put it directly under sun.
  • The product is packed in plastic drums or IBCs according to the requirements of clients.
  • The product would show slightly stratification or appear white at low temperature. There is no negative impact on the performance after mixing up.
