HTM-C Modified Barium Sulfate

As a high-precision innovative function filler of nanometer-class, HTM is specially developed for electronic printing ink and writing ink industry.

The use of complete and uniform film coating technology enables it to have highly efficient pigment dispersibility and to fully retain each pigment crystal grain around it and well distribute in resin and solvent so that the intrinsic hiding power and optical performance of each pigment crystal grain may be maximized to exhibit a purer color image and vividness.

HTM further reduces its oil absorption by complete film coating treatment, thereby reducing the resign and solvent consumption in formulas. As a result, a better quick drying property is achieved and volatility be reduced.

Another important application of HTM is its role as a pigment dispersant in color masterbatch. It is well-known that most pigments for plastic are expensive. Hence how to improve the covering power of pigment is a concern of color masterbatch manufacturers.

Research and practice show that HTM may facilitate the dispersion of pigment during the manufacture of color masterbatch, and the addition of HTM does affect the color tone of the pigment in products thanks to the fact that the light refraction factor of HTM is similar to common polymers. Repeated applications and practices indicate that pigment consumption in color masterbatch grains may be reduced by 10%.

In addition, the X-ray non-transparency of HTM allows it to be used for the manufacture of the raw materials of toys for children (easy to identify after accidental swallowing). HTM is approved for the product subject to contacting food due to its nontoxic property. HTM conforms to the Europe 's purity requirement and U.S' codes of food and drug administration. LD5 (Mouse, oral administration) >15,000mg/kg; dust limit=6mg/m 3 .
